About
I am an AHPRA registered Clinical Psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society. I’m registered to provide services under Medicare to clients referred for treatment with a mental health care plan from their GP or psychiatrist. Private clients are also welcome.
I began my training in psychology at the University of New England in Armidale, NSW before completing my postgraduate training at Griffith University on the Gold Coast.
I have worked in the public sector for Queensland Health specialising in chronic disease management before moving into private practice on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane.

Therapy
My approach is to help clients develop a thorough understanding of the issues they are seeking help with so that they can work on the cause of the problem rather than simply focusing on short-term symptom management.
I work with adults over the age of 18 and I specialise in the treatment of the following issues:
Anxiety, including generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic attacks.
Stress and physical symptoms related to acute and/or chronic stress
Depression and bipolar disorder
Insomnia and other sleep related problems
Alcohol use and problems with addiction
Relationship problems
Work related problems and burnout
My training allows me to draw upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Psychodynamic approaches as needed or as desired by my clients.
Please note that currently I am providing all sessions by Telehealth

Telehealth
Telehealth is allowing more people to access psychological services that ever before. Many people have come to prefer its convenience as well as the flexibility to access therapy from almost any location. Many of my clients have come to prefer it due to it often making therapy more easily available to them especially if they have had to relocate for work or for personal reasons which would have otherwise resulted in an interuption to their mental health care.
Accessing your session is easy and requires no special software or apps. Just click the link sent to your inbox and you’ll be connected.
If you have any questions about using Telehealth, please get in touch via the contact links at the bottom of this page.
To book an appointment please email or phone, or you can book directly through the ‘book online’ links on this page.

Fees & Rebates
The upfront appointment cost is $250 per 60-minute session. If you have a current Mental Health Care Plan, you can claim a Medicare rebate of $141.85 for each eligible session. Rebates may also be available through private health insurance, and you may find out about your level of cover by contacting your health fund.
Please note that a referral is not required to attend, but if you wish to claim a Medicare rebate, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or psychiatrist.
